How do I check the battery and charger on my Cordless Blower Vac

Created by Sumec Office, Modified on Tue, 30 Jun at 2:07 PM by Chris McHale

Overview

If your Cordless Blower Vac is not performing correctly, the battery and charger should always be checked first. Many power or performance issues are caused by incorrect charging, a partially charged battery, or a charger fault.

For best performance, always use the original 20V battery pack and charger supplied with your product.

Before You Begin

Please ensure the following:

  • The battery is fully charged before first use
  • The mains voltage matches the rating on the charger label
  • Only the original 20V battery pack is used
  • The battery is removed once charging is complete

Important: Using incompatible chargers or batteries may affect performance or safety.

Step-by-Step Guide – Charging and Checking the Battery

Step 1: Connect the Charger

  • Plug the charger into a suitable mains socket
  • The red LED indicator will illuminate

This confirms the charger is receiving power.

Step 2: Insert the Battery

  • Align the battery ribs with the charger grooves
  • Slide the battery into the charger
  • Ensure it is fully seated with a firm fit

Step 3: Check the Charging Indicators

  • Red LED remains on
  • Green LED flashes during charging

This indicates the battery is actively charging.

Step 4: Allow Full Charging

  • Leave the battery to charge completely
  • Do not remove the battery early unless necessary

Charging time will vary depending on remaining battery level.

Step 5: Confirm Full Charge

  • Green LED becomes solid
  • Red LED remains on or changes depending on model design

A solid green light confirms the battery is fully charged.

Step 6: Remove the Battery

  • Press the battery release button
  • Remove the battery from the charger

Important: Always store the battery safely after charging.
